About Soraya Latiff
I, Soraya Latiff am a first-generation Kalinago, Indo, and Afro-Caribbean wellness guide dedicated to empowering Black, Indigenous, people of color communities often excluded from conventional wellness spaces. I’m a certified 500 HR Yoga Teacher, Somatic Coach, Pilates Instructor and Reiki Level II energy healer.
With over a decade of experience as an educator, community organizer, equity consultant, and Professor of healing and social justice, I’ve led transformative social change initiatives with young people of color that center decolonization and healing.
My work challenges traditional wellness and educational spaces to embrace liberation. I’ve partnered with organizations like lululemon, Urban Sanctuary, and the Posner Center of International Development to decolonize wellness and the leadership of communities of color. I’ve trained five cohorts of women of color educators as trauma-informed space holders with my own trauma informed curriculum rooted in justice and resilience and I’ve shared my work on the TEDx and Fiske Planetarium stages in Colorado.
At Soraya Latiff, I create transformative wellness spaces rooted in ancestral wisdom, using movement-based therapies and somatic practices to support healing from generational and systemic trauma and for us to live more liberated lives in this lifetime. Grounded in my own journey of healing from complex PTSD, and informed by my studies in the Caribbean, East Africa, and Bali, my work fuses social justice with physical and emotional transformation.
