In Movement, There Is Blessing:

A CO-ED Liberatory Yoga, Pilates and Wellness Retreat with Soraya Latiff

Empower Your Body, Mind, and Spirit in Ireland, August 30- September 3rd 2025.

Step into a space of healing and connection with Soraya Latiff on a transformative oceanside retreat right by the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland. Soraya is certified in Trauma-informed Yoga, Pilates and Somatic Coaching and is a former Professor of Healing and Social Justice and Community Organizing.

This sacred retreat invites CO-ED attendees to experience the transformative power of Soraya’s Liberatory Yoga Flow, a practice that weaves together trauma-informed Vinyasa with the power of dreaming and imagination and Liberatory Pilates that will be trauma informed and rooted in cultivating inner strength and longevity so we are here long and abundant lives. You will also practice a combined class of African (Kemetic) and Indian (Hatha Vinyasa) yoga Inspired by her Indo-Afro Caribbean roots, creating flows that encourage you to move freely, release what no longer serves you, and tap into your inner wisdom, rest and dreaming for yourself and the world.

During this 4-night retreat, you'll be immersed in a blend of daily yoga, pilates, meditation, breathwork, Reiki energy healing, and hiking. You'll stay on a secluded 10-acre property with breathtaking sea views, reserved exclusively for our group and retreat experience. Enjoy unlimited and open access to rejuvenating cold plunges, saunas, wellness lodges, and serene spaces designed for relaxation and reflection. Our private chef and culinary team will craft nourishing meals using fresh produce from the on-site gardens, thoughtfully curated to support your personal healing journey, both individually and in community.

Ireland’s rich history of resilience and freedom serves as a perfect backdrop for our shared intention: to embody strength through stillness, to move with intention, and to transform the energy of our struggles into a renewed power that carries us back into the world with greater purpose and clarity.

Each day will begin with an awakening morning movement practice and journalling to release tension, clear emotional blockages, and deepen your connection with the Earth, yourself and the collective.

You’ll learn to move with intention, honoring the wisdom stored in your body while cultivating a deeper awareness of your breath, energy, and being.

In the evenings, experience a nourishing practice to bring peace and restoration to your nervous system. These sessions will incorporate gentle stretching, restorative poses, meditation, visualization, and sound allowing you to close each day with a deep sense of peace and connection.

Soraya draws from her background in healing justice and social activism to create a welcoming, inclusive space where each participant is seen, heard, and supported in their healing journey. She believes that collective empowerment and personal healing are intertwined, and encourages participants to rest, dream, and nourish themselves as essential parts of the larger work we do in the world.

Whether you're new to yoga or pilates or an experienced practitioner, Soraya will meet you where you are through a trauma informed lens. Each session is optional and designed to support your body and spirit’s needs, allowing you to engage at your own pace—sessions that foster balance, agency, and dreaming.

Together, we’ll create a rhythm that allows you to return home replenished and more aligned with your true self.

Attendees will have plenty of free time, and all practices and planned activities are completely optional. Each lodge at the Cliffs of Moher Retreat Center offers a peaceful space for you to rest and recharge in your own way. To help support your relaxation and allow for a deeper retreat experience, the retreat space intentionally limits Wi-Fi access to two of the communal buildings on the property. This encourages a greater sense of connection with nature, yourself, spirit and the community around you.

We’ll visit the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher on an integrated excursion, allowing you to connect with the land, reflect on your journey, and deepen your connection with nature. This experience is designed to be both an external and internal adventure, aligning with the retreat's core of intentional movement and mindfulness.

The name of the retreat, 'In Movement, There is Blessing,' is inspired by the Arabic phrase 'Haraka Baraka,' spoken to Soraya in a dream by her grandfather. This phrase embodies the belief that slow, intentional movement—whether through yoga, breathwork, or energy healing—has the power to unlock blessings and catalyze transformation. It also serves as a reminder that change can arise not only in motion but in stillness and rest, for it is in our ability to pause that movement becomes inevitable.

The name also honors Soraya’s ancestral roots, grounding her work at the intersection of physical healing and social movement. Each step forward, whether in rest or action, brings us closer to collective liberation and personal empowerment. It invites you to reflect on the legacies of the movements that have shaped your own roots, and to consider your place in the ongoing flow of growth, nourishment, and transformation—both in your own life and in the larger world.

You’ll find plenty of ways to slow down and nourish yourself.

The Wild Atlantic Way is an awe-inspiring stretch of coastline, and we’re fortunate to be at the heart of it. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the cliffs, discover secluded beaches, and feel the wind in your hair as you walk the country lanes. Lahinch Beach, with its world-class surf and stunning views, is just a short drive away, while the charming village of Liscannor is within walking distance, offering delightful pubs, cafes, and shops where you can soak up the local culture.

Each day, you’re welcome to take time to walk the land, meditate by the sea, and immerse yourself in the rich natural beauty of the area.

The Cliffs are not just rocks and earth—they are an ancestral portal. For centuries, they have been a sacred site of reverence and connection. The ancient Celts viewed this land as divine, a place where the veil between the physical world and the spiritual realms was thin.

Soraya’s wellness practice is grounded in healing justice—recognizing that our well-being is deeply connected to the well-being of others, particularly those who have been marginalized. We honor the ancestral wisdom and current magic of these communities, which continue to guide the necessary shifts in the world.

In this space, people of color, Black people, and Indigenous people will likely make up the majority, as we intentionally center the lived experiences that have long been excluded from mainstream wellness. We are actively shifting the way “wellness” is commodified and appropriated in Western spaces, while ensuring that all women and femmes are welcome.

Our space is compassionate, supportive, and committed to each person’s unique journey. We welcome those who come with humility, respect, and a willingness to learn from themselves and others.

This retreat is open to anyone who shares these values.

  • "At this time, there are no further scholarships available for this retreat. We deeply appreciate your understanding. A core aspect of Soraya's work is increasing accessibility within the wellness space, especially for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) whose ancestral wisdom and present-day magic are integral to our collective growth. Soraya’s commitment to mutual aid plays a key role in supporting BIPOC taking up more space in her events."

"Your participation in this retreat helps fund a spot for a BIPOC yoga teacher and/or educator to join Soraya’s mentorship program. This spot for the Trinidad and Tobago and Ireland retreats have been claimed.

Each retreat with Soraya Latiff provides a fully-funded space in exchange for administrative support pre-retreat and on site for a yoga teacher of color or an educator from school systems who is seeking to expand their work into community spaces outside traditional educational systems."

"Any attendee of the 2025 Trinidad or Ireland retreat who aligns with these criteria will qualify for an energy exchange and mentorship for a future retreat planning opportunity."

  • Cliffs of Moher Retreats where we will be practicing will have yoga mats for attendees available to borrow in studio so you do not need to however Soraya brings her own and this can also be great if you’d like to be able to practice or use a mat elsewhere on the property or in your suite. You can bring a yoga mat as your carry on with some airlines or if you have access to a smaller travel yoga mat this can clip to a backpack or fit into your suitcase. There are some out there that fold or some that roll more compactly. The Cliffs of Moher Retreat will have some blocks and bolsters as well and all attendees are welcome to bring their own to ensure you have access when you need it or any tools that you know support your practice or your rest are welcomed.

  • All sessions at the retreat are optional, and you are welcome to attend as many or as few as you choose, so you can experience the retreat in a way that best aligns with your personal needs. Soraya will offer a variety of class options throughout the retreat, each designed to guide you along your unique pathway of practice. Morning sessions may be more energizing and active, while evening classes will be gentle and grounding. However, Soraya will carefully attune to the group’s needs, ensuring that rest, reflection, and slow movement are woven into both the morning and evening practices.

Every class is designed to be trauma-informed, drawing from Soraya’s 500+ hours of yoga training and her expertise as a 300-hour Pilates instructor. Soraya’s signature approach—Liberatory Flow and Liberatory Pilates—is rooted in somatic healing and liberation practices. These methodologies support you in dreaming, visioning change, and honoring your growth, resilience, and abundance. Whether you're new to movement practices or a seasoned practitioner, Soraya’s classes are designed to meet you where you are and support you on your personal and collective journey.

Liberatory Yoga Flow incorporates elements of traditional yoga while emphasizing somatic healing and social liberation. This is not just yoga—it is a practice of freedom dreaming and radical transformation. Soraya’s approach offers tools to help you release trauma stored in the body and connect your personal healing to the broader movement for social justice. This unique blend of visioning and liberation encourages you to see your personal transformation as part of the larger work of societal change.

Liberatory Pilates, developed by Soraya, integrates the principles of Pilates with a trauma-informed, liberatory lens. This practice is not simply about building physical strength—it's about reclaiming your body, healing from trauma, and engaging in collective liberation through somatic empowerment. The Liberatory Pilates practice is designed to make this powerful system of movement accessible, gentle, and transformative for all.
