Join Soraya Latiff for a transformative 90-minute class that blends yoga, somatic resourcing, and the power of freedom dreaming—rooted in Black history and imagination. This session invites you to reconnect with your body, cultivate creative resilience, and tap into the liberatory practice of dreaming boldly. Through mindful movement, somatic practices, meditation, and guided visualization, you’ll explore how to resource your body for deeper creativity and liberation. This class is open to all.
Session Highlights:
Black History in Yoga: Soraya will share the often-overlooked contributions and resistance practices of Black practitioners in yoga and somatics.
Somatic Resourcing for Imagination: Soraya will guide you through somatic practices that help you feel grounded and expansive, using breathwork, body awareness, and gentle movement to release tension and open space for the mind to dream.
Yoga and Meditation: Trauma-Informed movement and optionally guided breath.
Freedom Dreaming and Black Imagination: At the heart of this class is the practice of Freedom Dreaming, a tool of Black liberation that encourages us to imagine collective futures.
Guided Imagining Practice: Soraya will guide you through a powerful visualization practice where you’ll tap into your own freedom dreams.
